Riviera Maya Water Park - Update
April 5, 2019
Conversations about a Lazy River and water complex at the Riviera Maya property date back to 2010 in this post to the forum and to March, 2011 when Wendy posted her question and comments on the forum. (Note: Tap the back arrow on your browser to return to this page if you tap either of the links above.) Since then, the Sales staff members have given many reasons why the Lazy River has not been developed any further. The most recent was the area was not safe because of the infusion of snakes in the area. Clearly, this was a story that may have been partly true because there likely are snakes in the area. But more than likely, the property had not been developed enough to warrant the expenditure for an expanded water park vision.Well that was then, and this is now. The newer Luxxe Jungle Suite Towers are open, they have been well received and the guests staying there complain loudly about not having transportation to the beach, which is the center of activity for the property. However, the complaining has a chance to slow down because the new water park is just steps away from the Luxxe Jungle Suites.
Last week or so, we received a photo from Christine who has been there for the last couple of weeks. Then today we recieved more photos that provide a comprehensive view of what is to come. Take a look and let us know your comments by posting them below:
These photos provide a wonderful glimps of what is to come. Also, just think, we have yet to see the subject of the conversation at the top of this page - the Lazy River.
